We represent a diverse team of social advocates concerned about the escalating prevalence of sexual violence in our schools and colleges. According to the Centers for Disease Control, sexual assault is considered the biggest threat to the safety of college students in the United States, a national epidemic, and a serious and complex public health problem.
We aim to heighten awareness of this epidemic to high school juniors and seniors and present effective prevention tools to arm our youth before it’s too late through a variety of positive youth development initiatives. This, too, takes a team effort from the youth, their families, schools, and communities.
